Ingredients
- 8 ounces chicken livers, trimmed
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/4 cup onion, diced
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cucumber , sliced into 16 rounds
Directions
- In a medium skillet over medium heat, heat olive oil.
- Add diced onion and sauté until softened, about 3-4 minutes.
- Add chicken livers and cook, stirring occasionally, until browned and cooked through, about 8-10 minutes (internal temperature 165°F).
- Transfer livers and onions to a blender or food processor, season with salt and pepper, and blend until smooth.
- Chill pâté in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.
- Serve 1/4 cup pâté per person with 4 cucumber slices as a dipper or spread.
Storage
Refrigerate in an airtight container for up to 5 days or freeze for up to 1 month. Serve chilled or at room temperature.
