  1. 8 ounces chicken breast, diced
  2. 1/2 cup egg noodles
  3. 1 cup carrots, sliced
  4. 1/2 cup celery, diced
  5. 4 cups chicken broth (low-sodium for DASH)
  6. 1 tablespoon olive oil
  7. 1/4 teaspoon salt
  8. 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Directions

  1. - In a large pot over medium heat, heat olive oil, add chicken, and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes (internal temperature 165°F).
  2. - Add carrots, celery, chicken broth, salt, and pepper, bringing to a boil.
  3. - Add egg noodles, reduce heat to low, and simmer for 15-20 minutes until noodles are tender.
  4. - Divide into four bowls and serve hot.
