Ingredients
- 1 cup flattened rice (poha)
- 1/2 cup green peas (fresh or frozen)
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
Directions
- Rinse poha under water until softened, then drain and set aside.
- In a medium skillet over medium heat, heat vegetable oil.
- Add cumin seeds and sauté until they sizzle, about 1 minute.
- Add green peas, turmeric, salt, and black pepper, and cook for 3-4 minutes until peas are tender.
- Stir in rinsed poha and cook, stirring occasionally, until heated through, about 5-7 minutes.
- Remove from heat, stir in lemon juice, and divide into two bowls.
- Serve warm.
Storage
Refrigerate in an airtight container for up to 2 days. Reheat in a skillet or microwave.
