  1. 1 cup flattened rice (poha)
  2. 1/2 cup green peas (fresh or frozen)
  3. 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  4. 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  5. 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  6. 1/4 teaspoon salt
  7. 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  8. 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Directions

  1. Rinse poha under water until softened, then drain and set aside.
  2. In a medium skillet over medium heat, heat vegetable oil.
  3. Add cumin seeds and sauté until they sizzle, about 1 minute.
  4. Add green peas, turmeric, salt, and black pepper, and cook for 3-4 minutes until peas are tender.
  5. Stir in rinsed poha and cook, stirring occasionally, until heated through, about 5-7 minutes.
  6. Remove from heat, stir in lemon juice, and divide into two bowls.
  7. Serve warm.
