Ingredients
- 1 cup rolled oats (gluten-free for Gluten-Free tag)
- 2 cups water
- 1 apple , peeled, cored, and diced
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon maple syrup | Unit: Tablespoon | Optional: true
Directions
- In a medium saucepan over medium heat, bring water to a boil.
- Stir in rolled oats and diced apple, reduce heat to low, and simmer for 8-10 minutes until oats are soft, stirring occasionally.
- Remove from heat, stir in cinnamon, and divide into two bowls.
- Drizzle each bowl with 1/2 tablespoon maple syrup if desired.
- Serve warm.
