Ingredients
- For Biscuits:

- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- For Gravy:
- 4 ounces sausage, ground (halal if needed)
- 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
- 1 cup milk (or dairy-free alternative)
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Directions
- Heat oven to 425°F.
- For Biscuits: In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt. Add milk and vegetable oil, stirring until a dough forms. Roll out dough to 1/2-inch thickness, cut into 2 biscuits with a cutter, and place on a baking sheet. Bake for 10-12 minutes until golden.
- For Gravy: In a medium skillet over medium heat, cook sausage, breaking it apart, until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes (internal temperature 160°F). Stir in flour and cook for 1 minute. Gradually add milk, stirring constantly, until thickened, about 3-4 minutes. Season with black pepper.
- Split each biscuit in half, top with gravy, and serve warm, one biscuit per plate.
Storage
Refrigerate biscuits and gravy separately in airtight containers for up to 3 days. Reheat biscuits in an oven, gravy in a saucepan.
